The College "Self-Care" Package

I'm getting ready to send my oldest off to college soon and I want to make sure she has the all the things as my gal Living with Landyn would say. When I say ALL THE THINGS, I am talking about the things that will keep her healthy and happy while she's away from home.

Natural Medicine cabinet

Essential oils are my go to along with probiotics and other homeopathic remedies to keep my family healthy.  I want her to be able to continue taking care of herself through clean food and products like we've been doing here at home.

I'm giving her the Daily Habits kit by doTERRA which includes:

Deep Blue Rub - a deep tissue penetrating lotion with a blend of oils that soothe muscles and ease pain.

OnGuard Protective Blend - this is a blend of oils that support a healthy immune system and pack a powerful punch to a case of the cruds. I'm going to send with her the 15ml bottle along with some throat lozenges and the hand sanitizer.

Terrazyme - digestive enzymes that assist in breaking down food and helping the body absorb nutrients

PB Assist -a probiotic/prebiotic formula to help balance gut flora

Lemon essential oil - a powerful cleanser, internally and externally, as well as mood lifter

Frankincense essential oil - supports healthy cellular function, healing to the skin and supports brain health

Lavender essential oil - this oil calms skin irritations, slows histamine response as well as calms anxious feelings.

Balance, Grounding Blend - this oil blend helps create sense of calm and well-being, basically doing exactly what it's name represents!

Lifelong Vitality Supplements - These are daily whole food supplements that include an omega fatty acid complex, a daily nutrient and mineral complex as well as a cellular health complex. I take these daily myself and these are the first supplements I've actually felt kick in!

In addition, I'll be giving her:

DigestZen, Digestive Blend Roller Bottle- a blend of specific oils to help with tummy troubles from indigestion to nausea and everything in between. This oil blend also helps break up mucous in the nasal passages, which is super helpful during those season changes.

Melaleuca - this oil supports healthy skin, fights bacterial, viral and fungal infections, and freshens funky athletic wear.

I'll also be making special blends in roller bottles for focus, energy, stress/anxiety, sleep, homesickness, and other common college maladies.

If you're interested in sending something like this to your college student, check out the shop tab above and see the roller bottle kit I've put together.

Bounce by Matthew Syed

I haven't read this yet but came across this description from The Readers' Digest:

"Perfect for: Both artists and athletes Here’s why: In this optimistic guide to success, U.K. Table Tennis champion Syed combines detailed research with his own anecdotes to backhand the myth that talent is solely based on genetics. In studying the accomplishments of great artists, composers, and athletes, Syed finds they had one thing in common: hours, and hours, and hours of practice—no really, about 10,000 hours each. Quotable quote:“Asked if he was lucky, golfer Gary Player said: ‘Yes, and the funny thing is, the harder I practice, the luckier I get.'"

Daring Greatly and Braving the Wilderness by Brené Brown

I've read Daring Greatly (loved it) and have had the other book on my shelf for a few months now. Daring Greatly is about vulnerability being the underlying component in living a courageous, connected, and meaningful life. Braving the Wilderness is about the quest for true belonging and the courage to stand alone. Sounds like the perfect combo for a young woman setting out away from home.

SelfCo. Scholar Journal

I love the Self journal and knew I had to get this for her when I found out they had a student version. It incorporates a daily planner, a to-do list, a gratitude journal, and tracking goals/priorities. It's mindfulness meets productivity tracking.

In The Zone: How Champions Think and Win Big by Clyde Brolin

My daughter is playing soccer in college so I think this book can apply to many parts of her life.

Spotify

She has this app already but what I love about it is that it also has podcasts and we can easily share new songs, playlists, meditations, podcast episodes, etc. with her.

Milk Frother

We use this to make bulletproof matcha tea and coffee in the morning and I've turned her into a Bulletproof drink girl. So I'm sending this along so she can have her coffee just like at home!

Diffuser

I found this cute one that I think she'll love! The marble will add a little glamour to an otherwise blah dorm room. Diffusers are great to use for aromatherapy as well as cleaning the air. She can use it after she burns her first meal (they have a kitchen in their dorm) or during a study session to help her focus.
