Ep. 26 - The Health of Our Energy

Where does our energy come from? And, no, I'm not talking about the jolt of energy you get from your morning coffee.

I'm talking about the energy that comes from within, our life force. I'm reading a fascinating book right now that discusses energy in detail and how it can either drain us or fuel us, physically and mentally.

In this episode, I share what energy I’m talking about, what chakras are, where they are in the body, the physical, mental, and emotional components that are associated with each.

I also share some personal examples of where I'm stuck and why I'm paying attention to my energy centers to help me heal.

Hope this can help you, too!

Ep. 13 - Books That Will Change Your Life (a Series), Part 4: The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck

This is the final book in the Books That Will Change Your Life Series, at least for now. :)

Today, I’m discussing The Way of Integrity, Finding the Path to Your True Self, by Martha Beck, “a four-stage process that anyone can use to find integrity, and with it, a sense of purpose, emotional healing, and a life free of mental suffering.”

This book has been so transformative in my process of finding alignment in my life and played a massive part in the creation of this podcast.

It’s one of the easier-to-read self-help books out there because of Martha’s conversational writing style. She’s witty and wise and holds nothing back in sharing her own journey of rising out of her darkest days as she helps her readers climb out of their own depths of despair and reconnect to their true selves.

Today, I’m discussing this powerful book and why it can be life-changing for readers. I share some of the most impactful parts for me as well as some examples from my own life.

Reading this was a little bit biology, a little bit psychology, and by the end, felt like a whole lot of therapy. I understood a lot more about my past behaviors and gave me a lot of clarity about why I was stuck in certain aspects of my life.

I honestly think this should be required reading for young adults because I wish I would have read this at that age.
